This was a beautiful story about a young girl with a brand new baby brother. She watches how her mother cares for her baby brother and decides that she wants her very own baby to care for.
Little Peter is upset because it seems like his new baby sister is getting all of his stuff. He is VERY unhappy when he sees that his old cradle and high chair (once blue) are now pink. In hopes of saving his little chair from being painted pink as well, Peter decides to run away...with his chair.
I love this book! In fact, I think it is a wonderful gift idea for a newborn or a mom/dad-to-be! This is a beautiful prayer for the day that a child is born.

This brightly illustrated, rhyming treasury celebrates our beautiful, brown children. Each of the stories in the collection opens with inspiring quotes by Langston Hughes, Martin Luther King Jr., John Lewis, Michelle Obama, and the poet of an ancient Sanskrit poem.
A new baby is cause for celebration. This rhyming story celebrates the arrival of a new little one. This sweet love letter from parent to child is sure to be a hit for parents excited to welcome their bundles of joy to "the party that is life."
A wonderful retelling of the Nativity story, this book doubles as a love letter from a mother to her child. The story parallels the birth of a child to the miraculous birth of the infant King that we celebrate on Christmas Day.
