Around the Log: Chipmunks, Spiders, and Creepy Insiders

Written by Anthony D. Fredericks
Illustrated by Jennifer DiRubbio

This is a great book for those who love critters and bugs. It features various close-up drawings of the creatures that make their home in a fallen oak tree. While the tree may be rotting and decaying, it is full of life. The book also includes a field notes section providing additional information about some of the creatures found in the log: termites, salamander, roly-poly, a garter snake, velmet mites, daddy longlegs, and chipmunks. Plus, there are activities, projects, and more to extend learning! Read more >>
