This beautifully illustrated book definitely hits home. With four boys of my own, I completely understand and have given “the talk” more times than I would like. I, like the mom in the book, experienced the same sadness as my cute little boys grew and I knew that the world would no longer see them as little boys anymore.

This book provides an excellent starting point for the conversation that must be had with young black and brown males about how to be safe in a world where racism still exists. Read more >>
