This book tells the true story of the Jenkins Orphanage Band. The band, consisting of orphans, was started by Reverend Daniel Joseph Jenkins, who had a knack for turning bad to good. As a way to combat the foul language the kids overhead from the prison next door, Reverend Jenkins taught the orphans to sing praises to the Lord, which led to the creation of the Jenkins Orphanage Marching Band.
