Catching the Moon: The Story of a Young Girl’s Baseball Dream

Written by Crystal Hubbard
Illustrated by Randy Duburke

Marcenia Lyle (aka Toni Stone) was the first female to play on an all-male pro baseball team. This is a picture biography about her dream to play baseball as a young girl playing with the boys. I really enjoyed this book because it teaches the “never give up” mentality! Read more >>
